Tierra worked with the Gila Valley Irrigation District (GVID) to obtain a new right of way grant on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land in Graham County, Arizona. The project was needed to allow for the repair of a diversion dam and canal headgate and for construction of a new access road for the GVID facilities located on the Gila River. Tierra conducted intensive biological and cultural resources surveys and Endangered Species Act Section 7 consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for potential impacts to Federally listed species. Tierra also managed the public involvement process and prepared a BLM-format Environmental Assessment.
