The vegetation management plan created by Tierra focused on reducing the risk of fire hazards by maintaining clearances between facilities and vegetation located within and adjacent to Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative’s (JMEC’s) right of way. Tierra’s adaptive management plan included seasonal and other restrictions for vegetation management designed to provide protection for more than 30 special status species that could be affected by JMEC’s facilities.
