An Environmental Assessment was developed for this transmission line project and submitted to the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), which, following review, released a Finding of No Significant Impact for the project. During their review of the cultural resources report, the BIA determined that a minor corridor reroute was required to avoid potential visual impacts to a Tribal festival site. Tierra’s biological and cultural resources personnel returned to the project area to survey the reroute. Afterward, they provided addendum resource reports in a timely fashion to the BIA. No delay in approval of the project’s Environmental Assessment was encountered.
