US 101 Fish Barrier Removal Project

This project involves evaluating 29 culverts located on U.S. Highway 101 and State Route 109 along the Olympic Peninsula for compliance with a permanent injunction to correct fish barriers on State highways and other State properties. Tierra cultural staff are supporting Anchor QEA archaeologists with pedestrian survey and subsurface testing of areas affected by the removal and replacement of these culverts. Significant portions of the project require Tierra to work closely with the Quinault Indian Nation and Olympic National Park.
