Due to some errors made during the first go-round of property acquisition for the Riverwalk Trail project, the City of Grants was behind an entire year. Thankfully, I bumped into Meghan Bayer and Tierra Right of Way Services at the 2017 New Mexico Infrastructure Conference and, knowing that we needed to put the Riverwalk Trail’s property acquisition on a fast track, I asked her to provide me with a proposal. I received a proposal the following week, and nearly six months after the proposal was approved, the City of Grants Council property acquisition was complete and under budget. The City of Grants’ administration was impressed with Meghan, as she regularly provided updates and was very professional throughout the process. In addition, her strong relationship with the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s Right of Way Bureau was very beneficial to the City. Because of the good results, the City is now using Tierra Right of Way Services on another project and plans on using their services in the future. Professional, persistent, and dependable is what best describes Meghan Bayer. The City of Grants looks forward to working with Meghan and Tierra in the future.
